Eurasian watermilfoil is gaining a foothold in Idaho's lakes, ponds, rivers and other waterways. There has been approximately 4,000 surface acres of the plant identified through surveys that have been conducted in the state. In 2006, the Idaho State Legislature passed a bill that allows for $4 million in funding to control Eurasian watermilfoil in Idaho.

This website was created to educate Idaho's citizens about Eurasian watermilfoil. Doing so will allow Idahoans to be able to identify this aquatic invader, report it to the proper authorities, and to learn what to do to stop it from spreading from one body of water to another. The website also allows for people to learn about Eurasian watermilfoil and why it is a problem.

Funding for this website was provided by the Idaho Soil Conservation Commission. It was developed through the efforts of the Idaho Weed Awareness Campaign.
