Eurasian watermilfoil 360º Interactive Panorama

Roger Batt, with the Idaho Weed Awareness Campaign, notes that this panorama shows a dangerous noxious weed growing in an Idaho pond in Payette County. Eurasian watermilfoil is on the loose in Idaho's lakes, ponds and rivers. Here you can see it already forming a dense biomass on the water's surface.

Rory Clinton, former Payette County Weed Superintendent, notes that this pond had been a good bass fishing area ten years ago but the County found milfoil about five years ago. With Department of Agriculture grant funds, it was treated for two years. This returned the pond back to almost a natural condition. However, the treatment is expensive and was not continued. As a consequence, after only one year without treatment ,the milfoil has returned and the recreational value of this pond has been completely annihilated.
