Eurasian watermilfoil Effect on Wildlife Video

Roger Batt, with the Idaho Weed Awareness Campaign, describes the dangerous noxious weed called Eurasian watermilfoil which forms a dense thick canopy of "biomass" on the body of the water surface. This increases the "pH" of the water which, in essence, takes out the oxygen and kills fish. There used to be a nice bass fishery here and there is also an osprey in a tree nearby.

Roger's guess is that if the milfoil takes this whole pond over it will kill the fish and probably the osprey will have to find food somewhere else.
